Our Charter Packages
Sail Safari offers a variety of packages to suit every person and group. Packages start at a minimum of 2 hour sessions, 4 hours, or 6 hours trips and overnight stays.
Accommodation is provided in the numerous camping sites around the Lakes.With Calypso's retractable keel she is able to access nearly all areas of the Lakes to reach ideal camping spots. Another option is to stay at many of the local reputable accommodation venues.
2 hours ($330) - Sail to Spermwhale Head, enjoy a walk through the habitat and then return sail to Paynesville.
4 hours ($550) - Sail to 90 Mile Beach, enjoy a walk along this spectacular deserted beach. Or sail into Lochsport a small and charming coastal holiday town. Alternatively sail to Metung a beautiful little lakeside village.
6 hours ($770) - A full day allows for the opportunity of lots of adventure!
We can begin the day with a canal cruise then a romping sail across Lake Victoria to Rotamah Island. There we take a scenic walk across to 90 Mile Beach, followed by around to Raymond Island or back through Paynesville straits and maybe a bit of tracking and gybing practice in Lake King.
Extra hours are charged at $125/hour
Other options include a slow cruise down to Metung for morning tea, followed by some challenging sailing into Lakes Entrance through all the navigation markers. We then take a walk up to the entrance - onto some more sailing past Barrier Landing and Fraser Island. On the return trip you can learn some nautical terms and how to tie correct "boatie" knots.
Sailing4Teens: 2024 dates TBC - A full day of hands-on sailing for 12 - 17 year old's, all equipment provided, food & drinks plus a memorable experience. Cost $100/participant. Call 0409547833 for bookings (max 8)

Overnight - Overnight packages include two - three days to explore a large majority of the Lakes system and some memorable camping at one of the four camp sites in the back lake or on Rotamah Island which is known as Bird Watchers Paradise. Or you can choose to stay at caravan parks, motels or apartments in Paynesville, Raymond Island, Eagle Point, Metung and Lakes Entrance, just to name a few.
Duke of Edinburgh Award Program - As an award service provider for the past 15 years, we are able to offer a wide range of activities to meet expedition, skills and residential requirements. A very competitive price structure puts this program within reach of all schools, youth groups, and independent participants.
Our staff are fully acquainted with the Award Requirements and can provide full supervision, training and assistance for all participants.
STAY ABOARD (at a Jetty) - Calypso can sleep up to 6 (2 x double berths, 2 x single berths). Fully equipped gallery, butane stove & gas BBQ, mains power (on some jetties only), & bedding supplied. $150/night (2 guests). Extra people $35/person. Children (12 & under) - free. Discounts apply if also booking a charter.
